Cliff, at Strawberry Cottage

I'm Cliff

I didn't set out to build a retreat. I built the 7-Step Method because I needed it myself, before I ever thought about handing it to anyone else.

Awaiting Cliff's own words

Cliff's own story here — what he was going through, what didn't work, what changed. Kept honest and specific rather than polished, in his own words rather than ours.

What I do isn't therapy, and I'm not a therapist. I'm not going to ask you to sit in a circle and talk about your feelings, because I know that's not how most men actually open up. In my experience, it happens sideways — while you're planting a tree, or lying there after breathwork, or just somewhere quiet enough that you finally hear yourself think.

Why herbs, and why this way

Everything I use is legal in New Zealand, and that matters to me — not as a legal technicality, but because I want you and your family to feel completely safe saying yes to this. Rosemary, thyme, Syrian rue, blue lotus — the herbs I work with have been used for a long time, for good reason.

Awaiting Cliff's own words

Specific detail on how Cliff came to work with these particular herbs, if there's a real story there.

The 7 Steps — diet, movement, breathing, sleep, purpose, good company, and a bit of actual happiness — aren't complicated on purpose. I've seen too many men get talked out of looking after themselves because it all sounded too hard, too clinical, or too far from how they actually live. This is meant to be something you can start today, with what you've already got.

Where this is going

Strawberry Cottage is the first part of something bigger I'm building —

Awaiting Cliff's own words

Brief, honest note on the longer-term vision: deeper work for those who want it, more support for men going through this, whatever Cliff wants named here.

But it all starts the same way it always has: one weekend, one conversation, no pressure.
