The 7 Steps

A simple way back to feeling like yourself. Cliff's everyday method, written down, for men who'd rather just get on with it.

  • Seven things you can start this week, with what you've already got
  • One page each. Plain language, no lecture, about 15 minutes to read
  • Built to be used: a weekly action for each step and a tracker for the fridge

Free. Nothing to buy. One short email every few days after it, and you can unsubscribe any time.

What's in it

Seven basics, one page each. None of them are new, and that's the point. Most of us let them slip years ago without noticing.

  1. 1DietWhat you put in, and whether your gut agrees with it
  2. 2MovementA bit, every day, so nothing goes stagnant
  3. 3BreathingDoing on purpose what you usually do without thinking
  4. 4Sleep & restA proper reset, at the same time each night
  5. 5PurposeFinding the fire again
  6. 6Good companyStarting with how you treat yourself
  7. 7HappinessSomething you make, not something you wait for

Made to be used, not just read

Reading something and doing it are different things. So the guide is built to be filled in and carried around, on your phone or printed out.

Try this week
Every step ends with one small thing to actually do. Not seven things. One.
Write it down
Room to put your own answers down, on screen or with a pen. It's your copy.
A 7-day tracker
One page, seven rows, seven days. Print it, stick it on the fridge, tick what you did.
Where to start
A quick 1 to 5 self-check so you know which of the seven to begin with.

Who wrote it

Cliff lives and works at Strawberry Cottage, on a stretch of native bush out past Kumeu. He put these seven steps together for himself long before he ever thought about teaching them to anybody.

He's not a doctor, and this isn't therapy. It's what he does every day, and what he's seen work for the people who've come through his door. He answers every enquiry himself, too. Not a booking system, not a call centre.

"I love people, and I think all people deserve a chance to see who they really are."
